Commissioners and Collaborators
The Lancet Women and Cardiovascular Disease Commission was developed by a large team of physicians, scientists and partner organizations. The following individuals provided their expertise, guiding the recommendations in the Commission Report. We would like to thank all of our Commissioners and Collaborators for their efforts across this important project.
Additional data and analyses on the global burden of cardiovascular disease were provided from Greg Roth and the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). Initial compilation of sections and editing were provided by Maria Alu and literature search by Deborah Kalkman and Ridhima Goel. Editing of the report document was provided by Alex Howson. Graphic design elements were provided by Eleanor Cooney. The Commission wishes to highlight the contributions of Chanchal Chandramouli for the lean diabetes in Asia section; Bernadet Santema for the heart failure section; Adrienne O’Neil, Karin Jandeleit-Dahm, Jeroen Hendriks, Jaquelyne T. Hughes, Angela Hehir, and Julie-Ann Mitchell for the Australia section; Ana Girleza Munera for the Chagas disease in women section; and Danny Chan for sections in Europe including hormonal influences, ACS STEMI, and cardiogenic shock.
